About
Founding Physician: obesity, diabetes and endocrine specialist
Dr. Kaynat Khan is a physician working at the intersection of clinical excellence, innovation and technology in metabolic healthcare. She trained in Internal Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, and holds an unusually strong international credential set: Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK), the Specialty Certificate Examination in Endocrinology & Diabetes (UK), and SCOPE Certification in Obesity Management from the World Obesity Federation.
Her clinical focus is evidence-based, patient-centred care across obesity medicine, diabetes, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), endocrine disorders and longevity medicine: the conditions that increasingly define health across a lifetime rather than a single episode of illness.
Alongside practice, she is deeply engaged with the transformative potential of clinical artificial intelligence, precision medicine and digital health, and how these tools can move care upstream into prevention, sharpen diagnosis, and improve outcomes at a scale conventional clinics cannot reach. Her published work with the endocrinology group at AMU spans case reports in thyroid disease and disorders of puberty, reflecting a commitment to translating careful clinical observation into shared knowledge.
She is an active member of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), the Endocrine Society of India (ESI) and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE).

Her role at Joovik
Where clinical medicine meets intelligent technology
As Founding Physician, Dr. Khan sets the clinical direction of JOOVIK. She brings a rare combination to the company: internationally credentialled expertise in endocrinology, diabetes and obesity medicine, paired with a serious conviction that clinical AI, precision medicine and digital tools can extend good care to far more people than a clinic ever reaches. She leads how JOOVIK builds, holding innovation to the standard of evidence, and keeping the company's care rigorous, preventive and answerable to the people it serves.
“The best medicine is the illness that never arrives. Technology will not replace clinical judgement, but used well, it can help us see risk years earlier, and reach people long before a diagnosis becomes inevitable.”
About
Internist, nephrology specialist and clinical teacher
Dr. Mohammad Anwar Habib is Professor of Medicine at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR), Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. He completed his MBBS in 1994 and his MD in Internal Medicine in 1998, both from J.N. Medical College, A.M.U., Aligarh, and has practised medicine continuously since: more than 27 years across cardiology, intensive care, nephrology and general internal medicine.
His formation is unusually broad for an internist. He trained first in cardiology as Senior Resident at Batra Hospital, New Delhi, working hands-on in the CCU with TMT, ECHO, Holter monitoring and coronary angiography; then spent three years running the ICU and medicine wards at Majeedia Hospital, Jamia Hamdard. From 2002 to 2010 he served as Consultant in Medicine and In-charge of the Dialysis Unit, eight years at the sharp end of renal replacement therapy, while coordinating the Diploma in Dialysis course.
His research runs to 39 publications in national and international journals, concentrated where metabolic disease meets organ damage: diabetic kidney disease biomarkers and prevalence, anaemia and quality of life in diabetic kidney disease, haematological change in chronic renal failure, and the safety of agents from SGLT-2 inhibitors to warfarin in renal populations.

His role at Joovik
Bringing rigorous medicine to everyday health
As a Medical Adviser on the JOOVIK Medical Advisory Panel, Dr. Habib brings a perspective earned over eight years running a dialysis unit and more than two decades treating the downstream consequences of diabetes and hypertension. His research sits precisely where metabolic disease becomes organ damage: diabetic kidney disease, neuropathy, anaemia and the quality of life of patients who reach renal failure. That vantage point shapes JOOVIK's approach to long-term monitoring, complication prevention and clinical governance: a member's progress is measured not only by weight or a glucose reading, but by the kidneys, nerves and heart those numbers are there to protect.
“Metabolic health is never about one number. Blood sugar, blood pressure, the kidneys, the heart, the nerves, sleep and the mind all move together, and a person is well only when the whole system is well. Treat the patient early and treat them entire, and most of what I see later in life need never happen at all.”
About
Professor of Obs & Gynae; women's health leader
Dr. Aruna Nigam is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and former Head of the Department at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR), Delhi. She serves as President of the Indian Society of Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology and President of NARCHI Delhi, and joins the Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for 2026-27, national offices that place her at the centre of how women's health is practised and taught in India.
Her research record is exceptional: more than 250 publications, over 4,800 citations, an h-index of 24 and an i10-index of 48. The SciRank Global Registry places her in the top 5% of scientists worldwide. In 2025 she was awarded Fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, and her honours include the 2020 Women Scientist Award.
She is, above all, a teacher, with 200+ lectures delivered, eight books edited (including Drugs in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Postpartum Haemorrhage), and fellowship programmes convened in gynaecological endoscopy, colposcopy and medical education. An ISCCP-IFCPC certified colposcopist with ACME accreditation, her clinical interests span gynae-endoscopy, gynae-oncology and high-risk pregnancy.

Her role at Joovik
Putting women's health at the centre of lifelong care
As a Medical Adviser on the Joovik Medical Advisory Panel, Dr. Nigam brings national leadership in women's health to the way we design care. Her work spans the moments where a woman's metabolic health is decided: high-risk pregnancy, the years that follow it, and the screening that catches disease before it declares itself. That perspective shapes Joovik's clinical governance and protocols, and grounds our conviction that a woman's health deserves to be followed across a lifetime, not treated one episode at a time.
“A woman's health is never a single episode. What happens in pregnancy echoes for decades, in her heart, her metabolism, her risk of disease long after. Care that follows her across a lifetime, and teaches her what to watch for, is worth more than any treatment given too late.”
